Home Visits
Requesting a home visit
Wherever possible, we strongly encourage our patients to come to the surgery.
If you think a home visit is required we please ask that you call early in the day to help ensure that we are able to allocate one of the team to support.
Please help us by ensuring that requests for home visits are make before 10:00am
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice.
The clinical team will only come to you at home if they think that your medical condition requires a visit. The clinical team will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to the receptionist to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
Our GPs triage all requests for visits. A GP may attend in person, however we also have a team of specialist nurses and paramedics who are able to support with visits. This team has the support of a GP at all times should this be required.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
