How to: See your test results
For normal results where no action is needed we will not contact you as the information is available on the NHS App or via online access.
You will only be contacted by the surgery if any follow-up is needed after a test result has been received. You will likely receive a text message or phone call.
For some tests, the information will not show online or on the NHS App until a GP first sees and checks the information. This may take a few days.
Usually the doctor that arranged your test will see your result and comment on it. The administration teams cannot share test result information until a GP has commented as they are not clinically trained. In some situations the administration team will need to arrange for you to have an appointment with a clinician to discuss results.
If you don't have the App or online you can call reception to ask for results. Please ring 01903 752 200 after 2 pm when our lines may be quieter.
Depending upon the NHS service you have received, it may take quite some time before the surgery receives a copy of your test results. You may receive copies of your results before the surgery. The surgery has no control over other NHS services.
